Jim Williams
During a long train journey as a child, I was gifted a series of history magazines which sparked my interest in what has become a lifetime passion for history. My time spent in the British Army and Metropolitan Police cemented that passion.
During my career I have amassed experience as an instructor with students from many and varied walks of life and skill sets.
Alongside this extensive vocational training, I’ve gained recognised qualifications in adult education, allowing me to blend practical instructional skills with formal teaching expertise. I bring a wealth of experience to both the classroom and the field, combining solid historical knowledge with lived experiences to bring stories, events, and lessons to life.
My teaching style is humorous, direct, and down-to-earth – an approach that keeps audiences engaged, helps complex ideas make sense, and ensures learners not only absorb information but remember it.
